Hala Sultan Tekke

The impressive mosque of Hala Sultan Tekke shouldn’t be missing from your things to do list. The mosque is located on the western side of Larnaca’s salt lake and it was built by the Ottomans in 1816. It is an important Islamic monument and it is used to this day for religious purposes.

Why Visit

Hala Sultan Tekke has a walking path that leads up to the salt lake and it is perfect for an afternoon stroll. Walking along the path you can see the natural beauty of the area, the colourful flowers especially in spring and the flamingos.
