Finikoudes beach is considered to be one of the most popular beaches of the island. Behind the beach there is the heart of town and the main street is full of palm trees which is the reason why the beach was named after. Finikoudes promenade is the most popular spot in the city for both locals and visitors alike. Mostly on weekends people enjoy a walk along the promenade and the cafés, bars and restaurants get very busy and crowded.
The Blue Flag status beach is an ideal family destination and it is protected by lifeguard services. The beach provides many facilities like water sports, umbrellas and sunbeds to rent for the day or bars to order food or a drink. As you enter the Finikoudes promenade, there is the Larnaca Marina pier, where you can find available mini cruises and fishing trips. Larnaca’s medieval castle is located at the end of the Finikoudes promenade.
