Larnaca medieval castle is located on the southern coast of Cyprus and it connects Finikoudes with Piale Pasha seafront street. The castle was primary constructed to defend the southern coast of Cyprus and the harbour town of Larnaca but later on was used as an artillery station and a prison.
Nowadays the castle is used as a museum. Inside there are exhibits like antiques, paintings, medieval pottery, utensils and weapons. There is also a courtyard, where a collection of canons is on display. It is definitely worth a visit as it is a great way to learn more about the historic culture of the city. Furthermore, from the top of the castle you can admire the aerial panoramic view of Finikoudes and Piale Pasha promenades.
