(BookingHunterTv) – On our journey to Oia in Santorini in June 2021, we captured this 4K UHD footage.
Greece’s most breathtaking island, Santorini, is also one of Europe’s geological riches.
The most scenic and romantic settlement in Santorini is Oia, which is perched at the northernmost tip of this volcanic island and constructed into the steep cliffside. The town, which is located between 70 and 100 metres (230 and 330 feet) above sea level, stretches for over two kilometres (1.2 miles) along the caldera’s northern side. The houses and restaurants are built into niches carved into the crater’s seaward edge. It is situated on the steep slope of the caldera.
Because Oia’s paths are so tiny, they become crowded during the tourist season. A variety of white-washed, blue-domed churches and attractive, traditional Cycladic homes may be found in the village’s idyllic surroundings. The best hotels, restaurants, and high-end shopping can all be found in Oia.
The Saint George Church (Agios Georgios) is the starting point of our 1.86-mile (3-kilometer) guided walking tour, which includes the majority of Oia’s tourist attractions and important landmarks.
